Letter
Dear Friends and Family,
Marnie and I want to be better missionaries. We know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will lead us back to God and give us joy while we’re here. We’ve noticed an increase in “anti-Mormon” campaigns and feel inspired to launch a “pro-Mormon” campaign.
Our first effort is sponsoring links on Google and other search engines. It looks like the church has done this on some words like Mormon. When you search the word Mormon on Google you get a list of websites with a sponsored link at the top.
And there are other sponsored links on the right like this one for LDS Singles.
The rest of the links range from official church sites to the BBC’s take on Mormonism to a site called “Affirmation: Gay & Lesbian Mormons.” Now I would much rather someone click on an official site of the Church than any of the others. Marnie and I are increasing their odds by creating more links that point, or direct, to the church’s official sites. We are sponsoring links when people search words like prophet, apostle, Jesus, God, Christ, repent, help, etc. People are searching these words today and our church should come up as the answer to their search.
Our second effort we’ve been doing for a while and it’s proven effective. Whenever we meet someone that shows interest in the gospel we buy them a subscription to the Ensign, Liahona, New Era, or the Friend. We figure it gives them 12 chances to read and accept the words of a living prophet.
Marnie and I have been discussing how to make a bigger impact with these efforts. Through a lot of thought and prayer we have decided to see if you, our friends and family, want to get involved.
We’ve listed some ways you can help in the column on the right. Give us any other ideas you feel could help or just do them yourself and tell everyone what works. Remember the point is to do missionary work today, anyway you can.
Thanks for your support,
Christopher and Marnie

I see you place a link to Mormon singles and I feel I should warn you that not everybody in this singles list is a Mormon or a good member. A woman in our family came in contact with a man on this site and planned to meet, didn’t show up because his car broke down and asked her for the money to repair so they could meet. This is a classic to get single woman out of their savings and as is often thought, religious woman are naief anyway. So be ware.

First, it’s not an actual link so don’t worry too much. And second, Case in point: If you read the letter we state that we’d rather have people that are searching religious topics to land on official LDS church pages. That’s why we sponsor links that point directly to mormon.org@luc
